Aesop Jet Set Kit

When Saint Augustine said, “the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”, I’m not sure he accounted for travel’s toll on skin. Dryness, sun-damage and blemishes can all plague any good getaway. We’ve talked about moisturizers and eye creams, but what of hair, knees and toes? Sure, I love venturing into the unknown when it comes to the grooming products my hotel will carry (the Westin Paris stocks Eau d’Orange Verte by Hermès) – but I’ve also grown accustomed to a certain quality and experience. Enter Aesop’s Jet Set Kit – the definitive travel-sized carry-on kit for hair and body – which features Classic Shampoo, Classic Conditioner, Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser and Rind Concentrate Body Balm. I took my Jet Set Kit with me to Las Vegas last week, because while what happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, consequences of debauchery are bound to show-up on your skin once home.

Start with Aesop’s Classic Shampoo. A mild, frequent-use formulation (appropriate for all hair-types) consisting of lavender, mint, herbaceous tea-tree and rosemary leaf results in feeling exceedingly fresh – something you will appreciate after any long flight. Follow with the Classic Conditioner, which uses an invigorating blend of bergamot, mint, and juniper berry to create a subtle yet decidedly masculine after-scent. As expected, the conditioner leaves hair soft, manageable and hydrated (the latter being of huge importance when in a desert). For body use Aesop’s botanically enriched Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser to gently remove any grime and restore balance. Curb irritation (and dry elbows) for lasting freshness and hydration with Aesop’s Rind Concentrate Body Balm. A unique citrus-based cooling formula (including lemon, orange and grapefruit extracts) is quickly absorbed, while sweet almond and macadamia seed oil energize skin leaving it soft, cool and revived.

what do you think?
  • The hotel where my husband works carries Aesop products— needless to say, we have several of the small bottles around the apartment (purely for testing purposes!)…. seriously though, they are great products!

  • I do love the bottles. At least it won’t be like those little plastic bottles that tends to explode inside my carryalls.
